Champagne de Castellane carries the name of one of the oldest families in France, whose origins go back as far as the 10th century and the Counts of Arles and Provence.
It was in 1895 when Vicomte Florens de Castellane established his company in Epernay. As a marketing man before his time, he chose as his logo the red « Croix de Saint-André » as a homage to the standard of the oldest regiment in the Champagne region.
De Castellane rapidly became the champagne of choice for all Paris during the Belle-Epoque period, carried by its originality, audacity and for the social aristocratic renown of the family of its creator.
Since 1902 and the advertisement of Lenoetto Cappiello who designed the first de Castellane poster, de Castellane has developed a real patronage of poster art.
More than 100 years after its creation in 1895, de Casellane moves confidently into the 21st century as the champagne of celebration and conviviality, a symbol of relaxed, joyful pleasure…
