WEGU MANUFACTURING INC is a custom moulder of rubber and plastic components located in Whitby, Ontario. We have been in business for more than 35 years supplying solutions for heavy abrasion application, sealing, noise reduction and vibration isolation applications. Customers for our rubber products range from Centrifugal Slurry Pump Liners, Idler Tires for Conveyors to Dust Shields on military vehicles. Through the years technology has changed and while there will continue to be applications for rubber needs WEGU is engineering product applications away from rubber to TPE (thermal plastic elastomers)or TPU (thermal plastic polyurethane) for smaller high volume parts. The process to mould these parts is much faster than the process to cure rubber and will greatly improve price. In some cases WEGU has even created a two shot injection process moulding hard plastics, (such as polypropylene) to flexible plastics (TPE/TPU), this eliminates assembly processes and decreases the overall process time. Our tier I Automotive customers are very attracted to the two shot injection process for such items as Coil Spring Isolators and Air Extractors.
