We’ve started using social media to help us engage more directly with our stakeholders. We want you to ask us questions, find out more about who we are, what we do and how we do it. But, before you post on any of our channels, there are a few guidelines we’d like to share with you so understand the rights we reserve.

The guidelines
We encourage you to be respectful of other community members, adhere to the appropriate social media channel posting guidelines (i.e. the guidelines of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Flickr, SlideShare, Instagram etc.) and understand that Glencore reserves the right to remove any content that:
-is inaccurate, misleading, or deceptive.
-is threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene, indecent or objectionable.
-is discriminatory in any way: racist; sexist; homophobic; ageist.
-is spam.
-contains any personal details, such as telephone numbers, email address etc.
-violates the intellectual property rights of another.
-violates any law or regulation.
-is otherwise offensive.

We hope that we don’t have to remove any posts, but repeated violations of these guidelines may mean that we have to block your account entirely from accessing our channels.

Our rights
We reserve the right to:
-remove any content that breaches the guidelines above.
-block any user that repeatedly violates these rules.
-change these House Rules at any time without prior notice.

Using your comments, ideas and images

By engaging with us on our social media channels, you agree that any material posted belongs to you and does not infringe the intellectual property rights of anyone else. You also grant us the right to use, develop, modify, adapt and publish your comments, materials and ideas in any format and on any channel, without obligation to you.

Be our eyes and ears
If you spot any content on Glencore’s social media channels that you think violates these guidelines, then please get in touch with us with details of the violation, including a link to the post, the time and date it was posted, the channel you’ve seen it on, and the username of the person or organisation that posted it.
