We design, manufacture and install quality canopy, shelter and shade systems to commercial organisations throughout the UK.

We firmly believe in the benefits of outdoor play and learning and we design all our canopies and shelters to help schools to create pleasant areas to learn, play and socialise. We also create canopies and shelters for the health, leisure and retail sectors, creating outdoor spaces which are functional, attractive and giove access to the outdoors all year round.

Able Canopies Ltd (Head Office), based in Clacton-on-Sea, Essex, began trading over 15 years ago offering a nationwide bespoke canopy service principally to schools and colleges. The main focus of the company was to manufacture and install a range of canopies, which were guaranteed to last and would provide a low maintenance, high quality solution, suitable for use in the school environment.

The very first product manufactured and installed by Able Canopies was the Coniston Wall Mounted Canopy, a commercial grade aluminium and uPVC system using 40mm “X” structure polycarbonate. A range of free standing canopies and shelters followed, all based on the continuing ethos of quality and longevity.

Able Canopies continues to expand in an effort to meet the continuing demand for quality canopies and shelters throughout the UK and we have increased our client base to include the leisure, healthcare, hospitality and retail sectors whilst also continuing to build quality working relationships with local authorities, head teachers, site managers, architects, contractors and specifiers.
