Mungo is a unique textile company with the rare ability to create fabrics from the inception of design to the final product, ensuring all our products are from an ethical and quality beginning.
Founded in 1998, Mungo is based in Plettenberg Bay, South Africa. All our products are woven at the Mungo Mill, an experiential production facility where contemporary textile design meets traditional weaving processes. Our collection of looms range from 19th century antiques to more modern-day machinery. Open to the public, the mill showcases a cross-section of weaving production from pre-industrial revolution to present day.
Today Mungo has three retail outlets in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Plettenberg Bay, and an online store which offers worldwide shipping.
