Brown Opticians was started in 2005 by Graeme Brown BSc(Hons) MCOptom. He opened the Cardonald practice in Glasgow and gradually expanded and opened practices in Bellshill, Bonnyrigg, Lenzie and Wishaw.

Graeme also started the domiciliary area of the business. This has become very successful meaning we are able to provide home, hospital and nursing home visits for those who are unable to come into a practice.

When you come in for an eye examination we use the latest technology.This allows us to ensure that each and every person is treated to their exact requirements. Visual Fields assessments are routinely done; retinal photographs and checks on the internal pressure of your eyes are always taken. These can help detect many different eye problems such as the beginning of cataract and glaucoma

Additional services that we provide are free contact lens trials, Low Vision Assessments, the dispensing of safety glasses, Direct Debit scheme for contact lens wearers.

We have also developed a strong working relationship with many different manufactures. This allows us to sell big brand names such as Ray-Ban, Prada, Tiffany & Co, Police, Oakley, Ted Baker, Emporio Armani, Tom Ford, Kate Spade and many more!
